This one isn’t a ballpoint — and that’s the point. The Bridgewater Galway Red is a true rollerball, gliding with a smooth, expressive line that writers, journalers, and sketchers immediately feel the difference of. The vivid red barrel with polished chrome detailing is unapologetic: this is a pen for people who care about how writing feels. At 14 cm it’s substantial in hand, and with a name engraved on the barrel, it’s unmistakably theirs.
Why is this a good gift for a creative professional?
Because creatives notice tools. A rollerball’s fluid line is the writing experience a writer, designer, or journaler actually wants — and a vivid red pen with their name engraved on it is the kind of gift that says you understand what they do.
Can this pen be engraved?
Yes — rollerball included. Engraving goes on a small area of the straight barrel below the cap, up to three lines, in your choice of font. The flat $8 engraving fee applies per pen.
What can I have engraved on the barrel?
Up to three lines: a name, initials, a meaningful date, or a short line of their own — a favourite quote fragment or signature phrase suits a creative recipient especially well. One note: the more lines you use, the smaller each line engraves — one or two lines gives the boldest, most readable result.
Occasions: graduations, creative milestones, and birthdays for the writers and artists in your life — plus Christmas for anyone who still loves putting pen to paper.
